Show and Tell Monday

I am feeling very fortunate this Show and Tell Monday. Saturday I took a little ride to visit with my sister Nancy. On the way is a wonderful lady, Shiela, who has a charming little table out on her lawn selling homemade goods. Goodie goods. Can't leave anything behind goods. Goods that will show up later on your behind type of goods! I asked her if she would mind if I took a picture to show my friends just how fortunate we are on Long Island. Fresh bounty is always right around the corner this time of year. Shiela (of Shiela's Sweet Shoppe) had fresh brownies, oatmeal cookies, cheese cakes, pies, cinnamon coffee cakes, strawberry bread, banana bread and fresh brittle. See what I mean? And if you stop by next time, she will have other different types of goodies. Her enthusiasm for what she does shows in her face and in her voice. She has found her BLISS!
The next two pictures are a little inkling in my sister's yard. She has a beautiful array of colorful flowers that grow higher than all my nephews! The canna lillies above is taken with me near them looking up! We had a lovely visit. I brought them lunch and goodies from Shiela's and she sent me home with a basket full of her garden's bounty, beef steak tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and another tote bag filled with things I may like to put on my boutique website. In between all that was much conversation, laughter and hugs. Enough to keep us satisfied in mind, body and spirit. Enjoy looking at all the sites for Show and Tell Monday at Make Mine Pink. (http://www.makeminepink.com/) Right now I'm off to have one of those oatmeal cookies....yummo!

Hey Susie!
Wow what a fun time you had. My grandparents lived on Long Island and I use to love visiting them in the summer. It truly is so beautiful. What a cool lady with all those yummy goodies. Your right, she found her bliss. Good for her and for you!
Hugs,
Michelle
