New Additions to My Collection for Show and Tell

Heaven, I'm in heaven...that is what I am singing today for Monday's Show and Tell. I purchased this lovely hobnail milkglass set which included a pitcher, sugar bowl , creamer and six juice glasses to add to my hobnail collection. I thought nothing else could excite me; what more could I possibly 'need' and then my eyes set sight on this beautiful set while boutique shopping at polka dot rose (http://www.polkadotrose.net/) ! Yes, we have The Polka Dot Rose (me) and polka dot rose, my new friends, Kristi and Karla. I unwrapped the goodies and immediately took pictures to capture my new beauties. I invited a friend for breakfast al fresco Saturday morning and proudly served her juice from the pitcher into the little juice glass. She was so impressed (and secretly, so was I!!). I thought I had "enough" pieces of my wonderful hobnail milkglass in my collection. I was wrong. Isn't that what treasure hunting is all about? It turned out to be a treasure indeed. Thank you Kristi and Karla for brightening my world. Enjoy Show and Tell today at all the boutiques at Make Mine Pink (http://www.makeminepink.com/) and see what treasures are awaiting you.

Pulling Out All the Lace

I am just beginning to rediscover all my 'stash' of beautiful laces and embellishments I have accumulated over the days, weeks, months and years of being an avid treasure hunter. I use the word 'rediscover' because it is all tucked away like precious gems awaiting their time in the spot light. That is what happened when I came across this beautiful lace. When I saw this, I had to have it for the lace alone. Guess what it is? Take a gander and leave me a response on my blog. I have something sweet and pink awaiting one lucky person. The winner will be chosen on Thursday, July 17th. Will it be you?

COTTAGE PORCH TODAY AT MAKE MINE PINK

"Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer"....you know the song and you know there is no better place to go to than the cottage porch to idle your day away. Take a treasured book, a cool lemonade, a few chocolate chip cookies for good measure (eat quickly as the chocolate chips will surely melt in this heat) and head to the porch. There you can kick back and relax. Even put your feet on the furniture if you want. It is easy living on the porch. Stop by the boutiques at Make Mine Pink today, July 11th and see what is hopping on the cottage porch. (www.makeminepink.com) . See you there!

Around the Yard for Show and Tell

Wasn't it a wonderful 4th of July weekend? I love when a holiday falls on a Friday or Monday, thus giving me three glorious days to fill with joy. My Show and tell today is a few pictures taken in my back courtyard. My back yard is small and entirely brick (no mowing!). It is so much fun to dress it up with flowers both annuals and perrenials. It gives me an entire extra room to branch out.in the Summer. My sister Liz and I like to entertain outdoors. The first picture is the breakfast Liz made my friend and I 4th of July morning. What you don't see is champagne and orange juice! In the picture with the sunflowers you will see a fantastic watermelon. What makes it fantastic? Getting it at a yard sale for $3.00!!! Down from $5.00. Now that is fantastic! The baker's rack that all our goodies are set on was on the side of the road a few years back. Absolutely free. Now that is fantastic too! Hope you all had a great weekend. Be sure to take a peak at the other blogs from the boutiques at Make Mine Pink (www.makeminepink.com) today for Show and Tell Monday.
