Found Treasures

The above brooches are new additions to my treasure chest of jewels and baubles. They are Sarah Coventry, adding to part of a collection I have had since the 1960's. My sweet Mom always hosted Sarah Coventry parties and I kept all her jewelry and wonderful memories. Some of my brooches end up on my romantic Cinderella slipper shoes. Others I just cannot part with yet.

My oh my, what is in this box? Well, I was fortunate to attend a contents of sale of a home of a dearly departed friend of DSIS Liz's who passed away in the Spring. As much as I love going to these sales, when they are someone I know, it is bittersweet. My outing Saturday with my DSIS Nancy took us in that direction so we went to show support for the family. They were overjoyed to see us. I found great treasures and filled this box. I only took my heart's desires. When I asked for a talley, I was told $5.00!!!!! Five dollars????????? One Lincoln? Now that, my friends, is the deal of a lifetime. You'll be seeing my loot soon. Right now it is sitting on the table overloaded with goodies that will bring me total joy for days to come. Thank you "Mrs. B.". You are missed!
So there are my treasures I found for this week. Added to that, I found huge fresh raspberries, strawberries, lemon squares, and a few other yummo's at a local farm stand. Oh happy day!

Hi Susie,,, The broaches are fabulous. I always liked the daisey pins from the 60's. My Mom was into those :) I cant wait to see your treasures! It looks like quite the bargain though! Your farmstand sounds fabulous! I can only imagine and live through you when you visit such a magical place :) Have a pretty week, hugs, gail

What beautiful treasures although tinged with sadness you appreciate their beauty. My favourite is the daisy pin, always love daisies, they come second to roses. Thank you for sharing
