Commissioned Work

Here is a little project a friend of mine commissioned me to do. This is a beautiful brooch and earring set from Sarah Coventry called 'Fashion Spendor'* from the 1950's that belonged to her Mom and it was very special to her. She loved my 'Old meets New" framed brooch within the tated lace I did and asked me to make a treasure keep for her Mom's lovelies.

*For all the collectors out there, this set is shown in my reference book for Sarah Coventry, at a value of $195.00-$225.00. (An Unauthorized Guide for Collectors by Monica Lynn Clements and Patricia Rosser Clements, by Schiffer copywrite 1999)

Wow, who knew Sarah Coventry would ever be that collectible. I remember my mom treasuring her pieces. You did a beautiful job creating a piece of art for your friend.

Hi Susie,, I really like this idea. I hope you get to do more of this. I think there is a great market for framing family heirlooms.
I hope you had a great weekend. Its the start of the holiday season and I cant wait. I hope you have a pretty week. Hugs, gail

I love this idea a permanent keepsake to display of a love treasure, so much better than tucked away in a drawer.
