Will You Be My Valentine?

Ah love...February is here and time for us to think of Valentine's Day and all those near and dear.

I gathered up my stash of vintage lace and trims
and had a blast creating one of a kind Valentines.
I hung them on my white feather tree.

I decorated both sides.
I had such a great time that I got attached to them.
I made them for special friends who have had a difficult time this year
and needed a good pick me up in the mail.
I cannot wait to hear their response.
I love happy mail.
I love Valentine's Day.
I love love.

Commissioned Work

Here is a little project a friend of mine commissioned me to do. This is a beautiful brooch and earring set from Sarah Coventry called 'Fashion Spendor'* from the 1950's that belonged to her Mom and it was very special to her. She loved my 'Old meets New" framed brooch within the tated lace I did and asked me to make a treasure keep for her Mom's lovelies.

*For all the collectors out there, this set is shown in my reference book for Sarah Coventry, at a value of $195.00-$225.00. (An Unauthorized Guide for Collectors by Monica Lynn Clements and Patricia Rosser Clements, by Schiffer copywrite 1999)

Spring is Here!

Just look at these gorgeous gals all dressed up in their pretty laces all set for Spring! I love dressing them up in vintage and heirloom laces, silk brooches (which can be removed for wearing), vintage jewelry, glitter and glam. Add stuffing so that they can also be used as a pin cushion or to hold your pins on your dresser/vanity. Sprinkled in German glass glitter and touches of jewels here and there. Bit by bit their personalities come to life.
Get the Easter parade plans in the making. These Cinderella slippers are the rage for Mom's, Sisters, Aunties. Add on to fresh flowers for a unique centerpiece on your Easter table or in the foyer to welcome your guests. Fresh lavender can be added at the time of ordering for that special touch. Looking for something fresh for your bridal party attendants? Hear them ooh and aah as they unwrap the black and white polka dot gift box and peek inside the black and white tissue paper to see which one of a kind lovely is theirs. Gift cards enclosed.
